For me, an elopement is an intimate, low-pressure experience that focuses on just the couple — sometimes with a few witnesses or up to five close friends or family members. Elopements are relaxed, personal, and centered on the moment rather than a schedule. A wedding, on the other hand, is a larger celebration with more than ten guests, often including a wedding party, formal traditions, and a reception following the ceremony.
